I wanted that same thing for more than 2 years and after spending thousands of valuable dollars, I just about had it with web developers (or wannabe's).

"Because I am a graphical guy, web developers would ask me to draft a visual concept of the actual site. Long hours and very precise designing later, I would present my idea to a developer and he would say "no problem, 50% deposit, and you will have your site in no time" - HA!

Once the first week goes by, you start to inquire how the site is coming on?, just to be re-affirmed that it is going well - double HAHA!

After yet another week the developer realize that the functionality is a bit above his head and he has to now adjust his strategy. He then call you and ask a lot of questions, also demanding some extra content etc. At this point you realize that you might have chosen the wrong company or person to do this very challenging task."
